Next Four Years

Over the next four years, Team DEA 2024 will move the union forward by looking at the oversites of the past and making them better for the future. Communication is at the core of our strategy. Grounded in the idea of listening to the union membership, your input will be sought because nobody knows your needs better than you. This team will be creating a variety of committees that include delegates and members, both active and retired. This allows us to better collect ideas from across the city and allows your voice to be heard.
Team DEA 2024 will be making new, strong relationships with executives in IAB to ensure we have details of disciplinary cases, making it well known that the DEA will be doing everything possible on behalf of members. CCRB has proven to have unjust findings based on poorly skilled investigators. This team plans to utilize new tactics when it comes to battling this agency, including the hiring of private investigators to follow up on the alleged cases brought forth by the CCRB.
When it comes to politics, Team DEA 2024 will be building bridges with members of the City Council and State Legislature who support the police. This team will stand up to those who are looking to make the job of a Detective more difficult and dangerous. The issues do not stop at law enforcement with this team, as we are already looking at the issue of Congestion Pricing that will unfairly charge members and their families to get to work.

Here is a sample list of the ways we’re going to help make your job better.
